Seattle, WA (October 8, 2010) – The Children’s Museum, Seattle is excited to announce a partnership with the WA Dental Service Foundation to bring families Bright Smiles Week at the Museum October 11 – 17, 2010. Children and their families can participate in daily activities including Tooth-tacular Storytimes, Fantastic Flossing Art projects and more. Program will also be provided Public Health of Seattle King County to teach children and parents about the importance of oral hygiene and cavity prevention.
On Wednesday, October 13th children can bring their teddy bears to the Museum for a “dental check-up”. Volunteers will help dispel myths about dentist visits as they check the teeth of children’s lovable friends and familiarize children with what happens at a dental visit. Wednesday is also National Take Your Teddy Bear to Work day so The Children’s Museum, Seattle is adding an extra bonus. Children (ages 10 and under) who bring their teddy bear to “work” with them at the Museum, will receive free admission to the Museum!*
The Children’s Museum, Seattle is located on the lower level of the Center House, at the heart of the Seattle Center. The Museum is open 10am to 5pm on weekdays.
