The Children’s Museum, Seattle will host hourly countdowns from around the globe
Seattle, WA (December 21, 2011) – Looking for a creative way to celebrate the New Year? The Children’s Museum, Seattle has a solution for you and it will delight the young and young at heart. On December 31st, guests at the Museum can count down to the New Year every hour as 2012 arrives around the globe.
The countdowns start in with a countdown for India (11am) and end with a celebration of traditions in Brazil (5pm). After each countdown, the Museum provides noisemakers and small cups of fruit juice to toast the new year, families can create a unique craft connected to the traditions of that region. The Museum is open from 10am – 6pm on New Years Eve Day and invites families to come and play and then stay on campus for the evening celebrations.
The Children’s Museum, Seattle is located on the Seattle Center campus on the ground level of the Center House. An expansive play space for children, the Museum is currently featuring a Near and Far Exhibit which uses LEGO® bricks and DUPLO® bricks for learning.
