Let’s make something new!
The Museum was last majorly renovated in 1995, and with over 200,000 visitors a year, we know the exhibits and props show that use. When our current Executive Director took over in 2009, she knew that updating the exhibits would be a major project, which for our small non-profit, would be based on limited donor cash flow. Since 2011, we have been able to renovate over 40% of the exhibit spaces with updates to Construction Zone, Play Café, the Imagination Art Studio, Cog City, the Sound Transit Station and Stroller Parking, and our Education Program Center.
The “Marbleous” Museum
What would you do with a couple hundred thousand marbles? We would open a new museum! From marbles in motion to marble mashing, this is our most anticipated exhibit yet! Click here to learn how you can get involved in the project!
Seattle Boomtown Jr.
This facade is the beginning of what we believe is going to be an extraordinary exhibit, highlighting Seattle’s history. With donations from MOHAI, we are creating a place for children and their families to explore the boom of our great city. This “small town,” will feature a department store, a stable/blacksmith, barber shop, and even a school!
