Group Visits

The Children's Museum, Seattle is the perfect place to bring your energetic group of children.  With 11 permanent exhibits, a new outdoor exhibit, bi-annual traveling exhibits and more, there is a place for every imaginative kid to play, learn and grow.

Group Size:  10 - 80

Ratio Requirements:  1 adult to 5 children (for ages 4 and younger);  1 adult to 7 children (for ages 5 and older)

Group Rate: $6.00

The Children's Museum, Seattle offers sponsored visit opportunities to groups with children who are from low income households, receiving free or reduced lunches or who are "at-risk".  Approval is required and the number of groups per month is limited.  Click here to learn more.

What happens during a trip to the Museum?

Your day starts with a quick orientation.

After Orientation, each Chaperone can take their group of children into the Museum:

  • Explore the Neighborhood and perform on the stage in Bijou Theater.
  • Become a Sushi Chef in the Kobe House in Global Village.
  • Participate in the craft of the month in the Imagination Studio or make clay models or recycled sculptured.

During your playtime in the Museum, you'll find our Educators leading groups of children in educational play activities. This can include a categories game in the Grocery Store, a Scavenger Hunt through the Museum or a nature hike up the Mountain. 


At lunch time, your group can walk upstairs to the food court to enjoy lunch or, weather permitting, enjoy lunch on the grass by International Fountain.

After lunch, it's back to the Museum, your group can return to playing in the Museum or pack up for the day!
