How do I become a member?
You can apply for membership online, over the phone (206) 576-2326, or in person at the box office window.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
No. Membership are non-transferable.
How long do memberships last?
Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
How many people can I include on my membership?
Membership Packages are designed for households (up to 2 adults living at the same address and their dependent children). If you have special circumstances and would like to request an exception, please email us.
I lost/forgot/have not yet received my membership card. Can I still visit the museum?
Members can visit the museum without their membership card by showing a photo ID at the box office window to verify their membership. Additionally, members can request new membership cards once per year.
How long will it take to receive my membership cards?
Membership cards are mailed once a week. Please note that delivery may be delayed during holidays.
How do I get a refund?
Memberships are non-refundable.
Can daily admission be applied toward the price of a membership?
You may apply your payment for admission to the Museum toward a membership purchased before the close of business that day. Make sure you save your receipt and show it at the box office. Only the admission cost for those who will be included on the membership may be applied.
How often can members visit the museum?
Members may visit the museum as often as they would like.
Can my children visit the Museum with our nanny or another adult?
Yes, if you have a Leaps and Bounds Membership or Family Plus Membership, which allows for a 3rd adult to be listed who does not need to be a part of the membership household. This 3rd adult position is flexible to accommodate changing caretakers/nannies. (The Children’s Museum, Seattle defines a “household” as up to two adults living at the same address and their dependent children.)
Can I change the third adult listed on my Family Plus or Leaps and Bounds Membership?
Yes. You may call our box office at (206) 576-2326 or email us. Please allow 24 hours for the change to be made.
Are memberships tax deductible?
Memberships are tax deductible up to $75.00. We recommend you speak with your tax adviser concerning this.
Can I let my friends use my membership?
No. Memberships are for the benefit of the individuals' listed on the membership.
