Finding The Children's Museum, Seattle

From North or Southbound I-5

  • Take the Mercer St/Seattle Center exit (exit 167)
  • Turn right at the first traffic light onto Fariview
  • Turn left at the next traffic light onto Broad St.
  • Turn right onto 5th Ave
  • Seattle Center will be on your left hand side

Parking at Seattle Center:

Some 2-hour metered and un-metered street parking is available around Seattle Center.  Paid parking is available in the Seattle Center lots surrounding the campus.

When you park in the facilities listed below your parking fees go to support Seattle Center's free programs, beautiful grounds, and gardens.

Pricing depends on the day and special events.

Free, 2-hour parking is available near the Southwest Corner of the Seattle Center on 2nd Ave, Thomas and John Street.

Directions from Parking to the Museum:

The Children’s Museum, Seattle is located in the heart of the Seattle Center, on the first floor of the Center House. After parking around the Seattle Center, you will walk onto the campus.  Follow the signs to The Center House.  The Center House is located in the middle of campus, between the International Fountain and the Monorail.

  

 

Where is the Museum?

We are located on the same campus at the Space Needle!

To find us, follow this signs or look toward the sky for the Needle.  Park anywhere around the Seattle Center either on the street or in one of the Seattle Center parking garages.

Follow the signs on the Seattle Center Campus for the CENTER HOUSE.

We are located on the lower level of the Center House.

 

What to bring:

Wear comfortable shoes both for playing in the Museum and for walking a couple of blocks to the Museum after you park.

Wear comfortable clothes so you can climb, crawl and play your way through the Museum!

Pack a lunch or enjoy lunch in the Center House Food Court.

Bring a child-like wonder and get ready for some fun!
