Benefiting Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program

Seattle, WA (November 29, 2010) – The Children’s Museum, Seattle is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair on December 11th through the 16th to benefit Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program. Building on their exhibit, Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog, the Museum is encouraging families to consider books as Christmas gifts to promote reading in their household. As an added bonus, for every book purchased during the fair, Scholastic will donate a book to Page Ahead which promotes literacy and gives new books to at-risk children.
Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog teaches children about Clifford’s Big Ideas which include Share, Help Others and Work Together. The goal of the Big Ideas is to support children’s growing understanding that the actions they choose make a difference to themselves and others.
