Volunteering at the Museum

Are you looking for a great way to engage with your community? Share your skills? Or encourage families and children?
Then volunteering at The Children's Museum, Seattle is for you!

Volunteer opportunities are available to work inside our exhibits, interact with guests and help create a wonderful experience for a visiting families. We work hard to match your skills and talents with the needs of the Museum.

Volunteer Qualifications

The Museum is activity seeking volunteers who are excited to work at the Museum and participate in a mix of fun interactions with our families and the practical clean-up/pick-up activities needed to keep the Museum ready for play.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • are dependable.
  • have the ability to work with children and adults.
  • are flexible to the needs of the Museum during their shift.
  • enjoy active children.
  • have a willingness to learn.
  • pass a background check.

Some volunteer positions (not all) require:

  • the ability to bend, lift objects and stand for extended periods of time.
  • strong communication skills.
